Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay Brodie was born in Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Fawn MCKAY, born into the Mormon Church's First Family, employed her creative talents and skills in researching to produce an intriguing psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945, under the name"No Man is a Master of My History, she used both. This title is taken from the funeral sermon delivered by Joseph Smith, the creator of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. The preacher shocked the audience when he said telling his audience: "You don't even know my name. It's been a long time since you've seen the depths of my soul." Nobody knows my story. I can't tell. Fawn was a 29-year-old Fawn. Since then, at least three writers have taken on the task. Some have attempted to establish a medical diagnosis. Documents are not lacking, but they are contradictory. It's a daunting task to assemble these documents, separating first-hand accounts from copies that are third-hand and integrating Mormon accounts with those of non-Mormon people into a coherent collage. It is fascinating and informative. Fawn brodie was highly committed to this task. Her research and writings earned her fame all over all over the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. The DevilDrives. Thomas Jefferson. An Intimate Historical Document (1974) and posthumously Richard Nixon.
