Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Her mother is English one-half Spanish. Parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father was an Argentine who had Scottish and English roots. The mother of Taylor-Joy is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor Joy also has 4 siblings, one at each one of their parents' prior marriages. Buenos Aires was her home until she turned six, and the family relocated from the city of Victoria within London. According to Taylor-Joy, the relocation was difficult and she was unable to study English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. Her school had to change from Northlands and then Hill House. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school productions. At the age of 16 she left the school and pursued a career acting full-time. Taylor-Joy's dream to become an acting star began in the early years of her life. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first one to hire her as an experienced model.
