Anne Marie Tiernon started her career at WMBD-TV 31 in Peoria Illinois in 1989. Then in 1991 she headed to Indianapolis where she began anchoring WISH's newscast at 11PM and anchored the CBS affiliate's newscast at 5:30PM with colleague Scott Swan. Tiernon worked at WLWT-TV Cincinnati Ohio, as an anchor and journalist from 2000-2004. Tiernon anchored the newscasts for WLWT-TV Cincinnati Ohio's 5, 6 and 11, p.m. along with veteran Dave Wagner. Her career in journalism has been filled with major stories and minor stories as well. Medical stories she has written have earned her first place in the National Headliner Award. Tiernon is the daughter of Fort Wayne Indiana native and has a husband, a marketing executive Terry Tiernon.
